Here Comes The Combine!

The Main Combine is set for Saturday, July 30th, with the Make-up Combine on Saturday, August 6th, both at Chaparral Park in Ladera Ranch.

The Combine provides coaches an opportunity to evaluate players in anticipation of the League’s draft. The Combine includes a 40 yard dash, 20 yard short shuttle, passing and receiving drills.

Players must attend at their scheduled time – 2011 LFL Combine Schedule - and wear cleats to be evaluated. Please make every effort to attend the Main Combine Day as there will be more volunteers on hand to make sure the day runs smoothly.

Due to the large number of players being evaluated only players and coaches will be allowed on the field – this will be strictly enforced.  Thank you for your understanding.

Awesome Spring Break Football Camp!

This past week the Ladera Football League hosted Cutting Edge Sports Training’s Spring Break Football Camp. CE’s Todd Norman, who did double duty during the week working out NY Jets QB Mark Sanchez and SD Chargers Safety Bob Sanders, worked with the campers to develop their athletic speed and agility, football skills and flag football abilities.

Despite threatening weather the players had a great time getting in some spring football before starting up baseball again after the break. The camp which doubled in size from the previous season provided a great teaser to the upcoming CE Summer Camp and LFL Fall Season later in the year.

The camp also served as an opportunity to extend best wishes to Lucas and Logan Krall who experienced the recent loss of their father Bruce Krall, an LFL Coach last season, as a result of a tragic accident. Todd presented Lucas and Logan with signed footballs and photos from Mark Sanchez and offered kind words of support from the football community.
