2018 Fall Season Registration Info

Welcome to the 13th Season of the Ladera Football League! 

Please read the following important information and click on the link at the bottom of the page to register.

Registration Dates

  • Monday, February 5th, Regular Registration Begins
  • Saturday, March 31st, Regular Registration Ends*
  • Sunday, April 1st, Late Registration Begins
  • Thursday, May 31st, Late Registration Ends
  • Friday, June 1st, Wait List Registration Begins
  • Saturday, June 30th, Wait List Registration Ends**

*Once Regular Registration ends, the League reserves the right to close registration earlier than the above dates due to balancing of divisions, available permitted field space and proper number of coaches. In past seasons, registration has closed early and players have been placed on the wait list - SO REGISTER EARLY AND DON'T MISS OUT!

**NO REFUNDS after June 30th, SEE REGISTRATION POLICY. Please also remember, any refund issued before the June 30th deadline will be $95 due to the $100 non-refundable deposit.

Fall Season Registration FAQ

The Ladera Football League is developmental in nature and was formed to educate youth about the importance of teamwork and competition through an NFL FLAG Football experience.

The League offers the NFL FLAG Program, which provides a fast paced and skill based flag football experience for South Orange County boys and girls Kindergarten through 8th Grade.

We are a participation league.  Players can expect to play roughly the same amount of time as their teammates and will play on both offense and defense.

Players receive an NFL FLAG reversible jersey, League shorts, a flag belt and participation trophies in the Kindergarten and 1st/2nd Grade Divisions.

Player Grade Division is determined by what grade they will be attending this coming September, 2018. Make sure your player is registered in the correct grade - players registered incorrectly may be dropped from the League to balance teams.

All players must play in the appropriate Grade Division.  Co-ed Grade Divisions are Kindergarten, 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th/6th and 7th/8th.

Players are evaluated at a Combine to aid the coaches in drafting their team.  The draft helps to ensure the competitive integrity of the League.

All players must be evaluated at either our Main Combine on Saturday, July 14th, 2018 or at our Make-Up Combine on Saturday, July 28th, 2018 to be eligible to be drafted to a team.

All players who are registered and evaluated will be drafted to a team.  Registered players who miss their appointed time at one of the Combines will be dropped from the League and no refund will be issued.

Only one Head Coach per team along with the Head Coach's player (no sibling exception). Additional coaches and their player must be drafted. Siblings in the same age group will be placed on the same team unless otherwise requested.

Parents may advise the League of any coach they do not want their player to play for however this must occur prior to the draft as no accommodation will be made after the draft. No other requests will be allowed.

To participate in the Ladera Football League parents must complete NFL FLAG's Participation Agreement during registration for each player. This agreement among other things provides secondary insurance coverage for the players which the Ladera Football League does not provide.
